Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Australian Towards Prahran by Frederick McCubbin was auctioned at Sothebys in Sydney in May 2007. It achieved a price of AUD 96,000.00 (€ 59,028.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick McCubbin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sawing Timber in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 731,700.00 (€ 994,256.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Australian Towards Prahran von Frederick McCubbin kam im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in Sydney zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 96.000,00 (€ 59.028,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick McCubbin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sawing Timber im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 731.700,00 (€ 994.256,19).
