Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Australian Autumn Afternoon by Frederick McCubbin was auctioned at Sothebys in Sydney in November 2007. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 122,400.00 (€ 73,733.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick McCubbin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sawing Timber in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 731,700.00 (€ 994,256.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Australian Autumn Afternoon von Frederick McCubbin kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in Sydney zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 122.400,00 (€ 73.733,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick McCubbin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sawing Timber im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 731.700,00 (€ 994.256,19).
