This artwork by Frederick Mulhaupt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in June 2000. In the American Paintings auction, the work Gloucester Harbor, Winter sold for USD 37,600.00 (€ 39,392.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Mulhaupt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The White Schooner, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 168,000.00 (€ 132,419.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Mulhaupt erzielte im Juni 2000 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Gloucester Harbor, Winter für USD 37.600,00 (€ 39.392,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Mulhaupt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The White Schooner beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 168.000,00 (€ 132.419,01) versteigert wurde.
