Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Early Evening by Frederick Mulhaupt. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,055.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Mulhaupt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The White Schooner in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 132,419.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Early Evening von Frederick Mulhaupt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.055,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Mulhaupt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The White Schooner im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.000,00 (€ 132.419,01).
