Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,647.87). Admittedly, works by Frederick Mulhaupt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The White Schooner in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 132,419.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Winter Calm von Frederick Mulhaupt wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.647,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Mulhaupt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The White Schooner im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.000,00 (€ 132.419,01).
