It achieved a price of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,495.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Admittedly, works by Frederick Henry Stonham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reflections in January 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,673.63).

Die Arbeit Newport, Isle of White von Frederick Henry Stonham wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.495,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Henry Stonham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reflections im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.673,63).
