This artwork by Frederick Hammersley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2020. In the First Open auction, the work I pay cash, #5 1985 sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,323.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Hammersley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ego I Go, #15 1975, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 65,895.00 (€ 67,356.64).

Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Hammersley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ego I Go, #15 1975 beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 65.895,00 (€ 67.356,64) versteigert wurde.
