In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II, which included the work Gravity in Four Directions by Fred Tomaselli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 252,000.00 (€ 244,115.08), 68% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Tomaselli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Organism, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 735,650.00 (€ 914,651.73).

Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gravity in Four Directions von Fred Tomaselli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 244.115,08) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Tomaselli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Organism beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 735.650,00 (€ 914.651,73) versteigert wurde.
