Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Untitled (Waterfall No. 2) by Franz Ackermann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 408,000.00 (€ 307,669.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Franz Ackermann have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2006 the work b2 barbeque with the duke was auctioned for GBP 299,200.00 (€ 440,056.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Waterfall No. 2) von Franz Ackermann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 408.000,00 (€ 307.669,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Franz Ackermann konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2006 die Arbeit b2 barbeque with the duke für GBP 299.200,00 (€ 440.056,08) versteigert.
