In September 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A river landscape with a damlooper and figures on the shore by a windmill by Frans Swagers. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,541.00 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frans Swagers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Barges On The River, Holland, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,357.13).

Im September 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river landscape with a damlooper and figures on the shore by a windmill von Frans Swagers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.541,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Frans Swagers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Barges On The River, Holland beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.357,13) versteigert wurde.
