Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paysage De Forêt Avec Une Bergère Sur Un Chemin, Un Moulin Et Un Château Dans Le Fond, En Bord De Rivière by Frans Swagers was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frans Swagers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Barges On The River, Holland, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,357.13).

Die Arbeit Paysage De Forêt Avec Une Bergère Sur Un Chemin, Un Moulin Et Un Château Dans Le Fond, En Bord De Rivière von Frans Swagers wurde im Juni 2009 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
