In the The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part I auction, the work Portrait of Maria de'Medici sold for USD 86,500.00 (€ 67,557.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frans Pourbus the Younger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait En Buste D'Elisabeth De in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 529,500.00.
