Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frans Pourbus the Younger could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Portrait of a gentleman, bust-length changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,801.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Pourbus the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait En Buste D'Elisabeth De in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 529,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frans Pourbus the Younger konnte im Juni 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, bust-length für USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.801,07) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Pourbus the Younger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait En Buste D'Elisabeth De im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 529.500,00.
