Artwork auctioned at 13 times the upper estimate price
When the work Henri Iv by Frans Pourbus the Younger was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in September 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 30,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 13 times as high at EUR 399,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frans Pourbus the Younger; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait En Buste D'Elisabeth De sold at auction in June 2014 with the realized price of EUR 529,500.00.
Kunstwerk zum 13-fachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Henri Iv von Frans Pourbus the Younger im September 2015 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 30.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 399.000,00 mehr als 13-mal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frans Pourbus the Younger; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Portrait En Buste D'Elisabeth De im Juni 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 529.500,00.
