Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Two Fisherboys by Frans Hals. The price achieved of GBP 1,145,000.00 (€ 1,277,644.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frans Hals have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a gentleman, aged 37; and Portrait of a lady, aged 36 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 10,021,250.00 (€ 11,164,561.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Fisherboys von Frans Hals zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.145.000,00 (€ 1.277.644,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frans Hals auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, aged 37; and Portrait of a lady, aged 36 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.021.250,00 (€ 11.164.561,26).
