Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of An Old Woman by Frans Hals for USD 98,500.00 (€ 72,511.78). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings Part I at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Hals achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a gentleman, aged 37; and Portrait of a lady, aged 36 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 10,021,250.00 (€ 11,164,561.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of An Old Woman von Frans Hals für USD 98.500,00 (€ 72.511,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Part I bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Hals erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, aged 37; and Portrait of a lady, aged 36 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.021.250,00 (€ 11.164.561,26).
