However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frans Hals - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a gentleman, aged 37; and Portrait of a lady, aged 36, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 10,021,250.00 (€ 11,164,561.26).
