Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Man with Bouquet by Frank Jeffrey Edson Smart was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2003. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 5,287.50 (€ 3,189.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Jeffrey Edson Smart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arezzo Turn-Off II in November 2001 with an auction result of AUD 376,000.00 (€ 218,388.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Man with Bouquet von Frank Jeffrey Edson Smart kam im November 2003 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 5.287,50 (€ 3.189,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Jeffrey Edson Smart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arezzo Turn-Off II im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 376.000,00 (€ 218.388,93).
