In May 2003 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Man with Bouquet by Frank Jeffrey Edson Smart. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arezzo Turn-Off II in November 2001 with an auction result of AUD 376,000.00 (€ 218,388.93).

Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man with Bouquet von Frank Jeffrey Edson Smart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 4.935,00 (€ 2.731,74) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Jeffrey Edson Smart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arezzo Turn-Off II im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 376.000,00 (€ 218.388,93).
