In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work Study for Portrait of Germaine Greer sold for AUD 84,600.00 (€ 46,829.83) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Jeffrey Edson Smart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Arezzo Turn-Off II in November 2001 with an auction result of AUD 376,000.00 (€ 218,388.93).
