In April 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work The Patio House, St. Augustine, Florida by Frank Henry Shapleigh. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,507.11) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Henry Shapleigh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Old Sanchez House, St. Augustine, Florida in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 103,000.00 (€ 65,169.25).

Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Patio House, St. Augustine, Florida von Frank Henry Shapleigh zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.507,11) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
