Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Fort Marion, St. Augustine, Florida by Frank Henry Shapleigh for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,197.61). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Frank Henry Shapleigh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Old Sanchez House, St. Augustine, Florida in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 103,000.00 (€ 65,169.25).

Im Juni 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fort Marion, St. Augustine, Florida von Frank Henry Shapleigh für USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.197,61) erwerben.
