Washington Seen from the Ellis River sold for USD 5,376.00 (€ 5,079.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Henry Shapleigh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Old Sanchez House, St. Augustine, Florida in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 103,000.00 (€ 65,169.25).
