Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Frank Gerritz (B. 1964) by Frank Gerritz for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,267.78). This price was achieved in the auction FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Frank Gerritz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Center Cross Block in June last year with an auction result of EUR 27,720.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Frank Gerritz (B. 1964) von Frank Gerritz für USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.267,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Gerritz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Center Cross Block im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.720,00.
