Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beech Trees, Haldon, South Devon by Frank Egginton was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,494.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Egginton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,819.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beech Trees, Haldon, South Devon von Frank Egginton kam im November 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.494,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Egginton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.819,49).
