Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Near Falcarragh, Co. Donegal by Frank Egginton. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,120.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Egginton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,819.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Near Falcarragh, Co. Donegal von Frank Egginton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.120,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Egginton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.819,49).
