Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frank Egginton could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Waves lapping against the sand, County Kerry, Ireland changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 298.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Egginton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,819.49).
