Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Verónica 1 by Francisco Corzas was sold in the Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,084.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Corzas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Desnudo de espalda in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Verónica 1 von Francisco Corzas wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.084,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Corzas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Desnudo de espalda im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
