Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Derecho de propiedad by Francisco Corzas was sold in the Surrealism Beyond Reality auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 48,640.00 (€ 44,591.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Corzas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Desnudo de espalda, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Derecho de propiedad von Francisco Corzas wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Surrealism Beyond Reality bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 48.640,00 (€ 44.591,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Corzas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Desnudo de espalda beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61) versteigert wurde.
