Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art, which included the work Rostro by Francisco Corzas. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,633.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francisco Corzas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desnudo de espalda in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rostro von Francisco Corzas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.633,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Corzas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desnudo de espalda im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
