Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude by Francisco Corzas was sold in the Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 65,324.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Corzas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Desnudo de espalda, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude von Francisco Corzas wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 65.324,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Corzas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Desnudo de espalda beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61) versteigert wurde.
