The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,145.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Holman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of Blackwell Yard from the Thames, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 153,187.19).
