In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A view of Blackwell Yard from the Thames by Francis Holman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 137,500.00 (€ 153,187.19), 38% above the upper estimate. With this result, A view of Blackwell Yard from the Thames is even the most expensive work of art by Francis Holman that we have observed at auctions so far.
