Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Sir Henry Paulet St. John, Bt., three-quarter-length, seated in a landscape with his gun and spaniel by Francis Hayman was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2002. The price achieved of GBP 11,950.00 (€ 18,713.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francis Hayman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Joseph Henry of Straffan, Co. Kildare, full-length, seated at a table writing a letter, in a blue coat, yellow waistcoat and red breeches, beside a bookcase in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 69,750.00 (€ 116,937.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.950,00 (€ 18.713,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
