In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Cottage In Black Field by Francis Davison. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,691.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Francis Davison have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Untitled 9-9 (Fawn, White, Red And Green) was auctioned for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,709.36).
