Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled: 25 silver gelatin prints by Francis Bernard for USD 630.00 (€ 570.65). This price was achieved in the auction The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Bernard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Air Orient in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,845.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled: 25 silver gelatin prints von Francis Bernard für USD 630,00 (€ 570,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Bernard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Air Orient im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.845,78).
