Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Embroidering Orpheus: Jean Cocteau Through The Eyes Of Bianca Jagger by Francesco Vezzoli was sold in the The Italian Sale auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 83,925.01) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Vezzoli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Veruschka, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 156,500.00 (€ 224,744.30).
