Guggenheim Museum, New York, with the blindstamp of the printer Vigna Antoniniana, Stamperia d'Arte, Rome, with full margins, framed.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow, Red or Blue by Francesco Clemente was sold in the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction at Bonhams in New York in August this year. The price achieved of USD 608.00 (€ 560.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Clemente achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fourteen Stations, No. XI in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,733,296.06).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 608,00 (€ 560,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Clemente erzielen.
