Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Untitled, Rome, Italy (I.156)', 1977-78 by Francesca Woodman was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,177.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesca Woodman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Polka Dots in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 179,291.80).

Die Arbeit 'Untitled, Rome, Italy (I.156)', 1977-78 von Francesca Woodman wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.177,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
