A top price for Francesca Mollett
When the work Two Thistles by Francesca Mollett was auctioned at Phillips in London in October this year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 35,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at GBP 254,000.00 (€ 291,662.57). This high result makes Two Thistles the most expensive artwork by Francesca Mollett that we have observed at auctions so far.
