Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Back to Bonkers by France-Lise McGurn was auctioned at Christies in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,042.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by France-Lise McGurn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Goya Eyes, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 103,663.87).

Die Arbeit Back to Bonkers von France-Lise McGurn kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.042,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von France-Lise McGurn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Goya Eyes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 103.663,87) versteigert wurde.
