Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Agalmatophilia by France-Lise McGurn was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 40,640.00 (€ 38,397.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by France-Lise McGurn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Goya Eyes, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 103,663.87).
