This artwork by Fortunino Matania achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work Richard II and his child bride Isabella sold for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,485.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fortunino Matania - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Complete Set of Illustrations For The Tinker'S Wig, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 11,760.00 (€ 17,429.06).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fortunino Matania erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Richard II and his child bride Isabella für GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.485,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fortunino Matania mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Complete Set of Illustrations For The Tinker'S Wig beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 11.760,00 (€ 17.429,06) versteigert wurde.
