Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work H.R.H. King George V - kneeling in front of the Archbishop of Canterbury with hand on bible by Fortunino Matania for GBP 625.00 (€ 798.03). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set b Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fortunino Matania achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Complete Set of Illustrations For The Tinker'S Wig in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 11,760.00 (€ 17,429.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit H.R.H. King George V being crowned King by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Randall Davidson, June 22, 1911 (illustrated); and The coronation of H.R.H. King George V - kneeling in front of the Archbishop of Canterbury with hand on bible von Fortunino Matania für GBP 625,00 (€ 798,03) erwerben.
