Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Cherries, Gooseberries, Redcurrants, Blackcurrants And Strawberries On A Stone Ledge by Floris van Schooten was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2015. The auction ended at the price of EUR 15,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Floris van Schooten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pewter plates with opened oysters, two mackerel, a bun, oyster shells, a bag of tobacco, matches, a white clay pipe, a berkemeier of white wine, a red earthenware brazier with embers and a pewter oval tobacco tin on a wooden table in May 2004 with an auction result of EUR 162,250.00.
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pewter plates with opened oysters, two mackerel, a bun, oyster shells, a bag of tobacco, matches, a white clay pipe, a berkemeier of white wine, a red earthenware brazier with embers and a pewter oval tobacco tin on a wooden table im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 162.250,00.
