Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life Of Meat Pies, Bread, Butter, Cheese And Olives With Glassware by Floris van Schooten was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,334.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Floris van Schooten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pewter plates with opened oysters, two mackerel, a bun, oyster shells, a bag of tobacco, matches, a white clay pipe, a berkemeier of white wine, a red earthenware brazier with embers and a pewter oval tobacco tin on a wooden table, which sold at auction in May 2004 for EUR 162,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life Of Meat Pies, Bread, Butter, Cheese And Olives With Glassware von Floris van Schooten wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Für andere Arbeiten von Floris van Schooten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pewter plates with opened oysters, two mackerel, a bun, oyster shells, a bag of tobacco, matches, a white clay pipe, a berkemeier of white wine, a red earthenware brazier with embers and a pewter oval tobacco tin on a wooden table beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für EUR 162.250,00 versteigert wurde.
