Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Floris van Schooten could be acquired at Christies in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made In Holland auction, the work A kitchen still life with a maid cleaning fish at a table and a boy holding an apple changed hands for EUR 8,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Floris van Schooten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pewter plates with opened oysters, two mackerel, a bun, oyster shells, a bag of tobacco, matches, a white clay pipe, a berkemeier of white wine, a red earthenware brazier with embers and a pewter oval tobacco tin on a wooden table in May 2004 with an auction result of EUR 162,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Floris van Schooten konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made In Holland wechselte die Arbeit A kitchen still life with a maid cleaning fish at a table and a boy holding an apple für EUR 8.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Floris van Schooten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pewter plates with opened oysters, two mackerel, a bun, oyster shells, a bag of tobacco, matches, a white clay pipe, a berkemeier of white wine, a red earthenware brazier with embers and a pewter oval tobacco tin on a wooden table im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 162.250,00.
