Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Florian Maier-Aichen could be acquired at Phillips in New York in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work 20th Century Fox changed hands for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,373.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Florian Maier-Aichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Mulholland) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 170,308.48).
