Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Florian Maier-Aichen could be acquired at Phillips in New York in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Untitled (Seascape with Monument) changed hands for USD 12,700.00 (€ 11,920.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Florian Maier-Aichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Mulholland) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 170,308.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Florian Maier-Aichen konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Seascape with Monument) für USD 12.700,00 (€ 11.920,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Florian Maier-Aichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Mulholland) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 170.308,48).
