Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Ali Underwater by Flip Schulke. The price achieved of USD 10,795.00 (€ 9,778.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Flip Schulke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muhammad Ali Boxing Underwater in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
